Located at the top of Hervey Range, the former Eureka Hotel built in 1865, has been restored and re-opened as the Herveys Range Heritage Tea Rooms.
The scenic 25 minute drive from the edge of Townsville, leads visitors to one of only a few slab sided inns left standing in Australia. The tea rooms offers delicious food (breakfast, lunch and sweets) and great tea and coffee (including the infamous Kopi Luwak) within the heritage listed building or in the peaceful garden surrounds.
A walking track takes visitors through native bush land to the top of the dis-used Greenvale railway line tunnel entrance. Their gift shop is stocked with local craft and produce. Bookings are highly recommended on weekends. Popular wedding venue, with intimate bush ceremony sites and rustic reception area.
