Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Museum of Human Disease is only open to booked school groups. The museum remains closed to the general public until further notice. The Museum of Human Disease, at the University of New South Wales, is Australia's only publicly accessible medical pathology collection. Home to more than 2,000 specimens of diseased human tissue, the Museum of Human Disease provides information to the public about health, disease, human anatomy and biology. Visitors will see and learn about various infectious, genetic and lifestyle-related diseases. With holiday programs for children and young adults, as well as a detailed year round events program for school and public visitors, the Museum is both educational and entertaining.
