Eagle's View Walk Trail is a 15 kilometre moderate loop walk around John Forrest National Park, Western Australia's oldest national park, with impressive views across the Swan Coastal Plain to distant Perth the track passes through varied vegetation types, including heath lands, open wandoo woodlands and mixed jarrah-marri-wandoo forest.
This Top Trail takes walkers away from the picnic areas, initially following Jane Brook down the valley. It then climbs up the valley wall to great views of the city and ocean. The trail weaves its way up and down valleys, creek lines and hills before heading back to the brook. There are different ecosystems along the way and spring wildflowers are spectacular.
Hovea Falls is a pretty place for a picnic lunch when water is flowing. The trail follows Jane Brook back to the main visitor's area.
Signs every 2 kilometres advise distance travelled and distance to go.
The trail can be tackled clockwise or anticlockwise. The walk trail brochure and walker's log book are available from the ranger's office. Walkers must register before they head off and on their return.
