Jamsheed Urban Winery is the first fully functioning winery located in Melbourne's northern suburb of Preston. Enjoy a glass of wine and food by Josie at Jamsheed, while watching the winemaking process right in front of your eyes, or shoot a game of pool and relax on the couches in the dive bar. Jamsheed has been producing wines since 2003, traditionally located in the Yarra Valley. The doors were opened to the public for the very first time in December 2019. The Jamsheed label, made and owned by Gary Mills, is a focus on single-vineyard Syrahs and aromatic whites from unique sites in Victoria, aimed to show the unique terroir of each site. Josie at Jamsheed is the brainchild of Josh Nicholson Catering, headed up by Josh Nicholson and Tom Capell. This isn't the gents first rodeo, they have been cooking in kitchens you've been eating in for years. Rockpool, Big Group, Long Grain, Harry & Frankies, Albert St Food & Wine just to name a few. The menu changes weekly to reflect true seasonality, but expect the likes of 600g rib eye steak cooked over a wood-fired grill, roasted cauliflower with soubise and herb salad or mortadella with guindillas and lemon.
