Art Est. is a dynamic creative hub for the visual arts in Leichhardt in the heart of Sydney's inner west. The spacious, light-filled industrial heritage warehouse is an inspiring art space with four teaching studios, a brand new, dedicated ceramic studio and an art gallery. Since opening in 2008, Art Est. has gained a reputation for providing quality tuition in a nurturing and relaxed environment. All art tutors are experienced, practicing artists teaching small class sizes that offer individual help to all students. Adult classes include a range of term courses and weekend workshops that cater for all levels of artist from beginner to advanced. Classes and workshops include drawing, ceramics, printmaking, painting (oils, acrylics, and watercolours), sculpture, mixed media, life drawing, Foundations of Art and Summer Art School. Children have fun learning and practicing art in their school term classes or school holiday workshops throughout the year. There are 100 innovative, fun and creative school holiday art workshops to choose from including pottery wheel ceramics, cartooning, painting, illustrating, printmaking and hand building ceramics and sculpting. Art Est. welcomes children from five to fifteen years. Art Est. also hosts corporate events, team building and art parties for all occasions.
