North Sydney Community Centre (NSCC) is a dynamic, responsive and independent not-for-profit community organisation. Their programs and services foster social connection and wellbeing. Their independence enables them to offer integral, varied and inclusive services to the local and wider community. They listen to community needs and interests and act responsively through their programming. Their Vision is to Connect, Care, Collaborate and Create. They offer Explorers Playgroup, After School Care, Adult Classes and Workshops, In Conversation and special events as well as the twice-monthly Northside Produce Market. Each term they offer different adult classes (minimum 18 years) including Creative, Food and Beverages, Music and Dance, Health and Wellbeing, Languages and Lifestyle and Travel catering to varying tastes and levels of ability. For children they offer their Explorer’s Playgroup providing creative play sessions for under five's with experienced play leaders setting up a wide range of activities with an emphasis on child-initiated play. For seven-twelve year old's they run an After School Care program. Each afternoon up to 105 school aged children make the most of the Centre’s facilities through their comprehensive program. They organise and curate the popular and wonderfully vibrant Northside Produce Market. The market welcomes over 60 stallholders from around NSW on the first and third Saturday of each month, except January which only runs on the third Saturday.
