The Scottsdale RSL Military Museum was opened in October 2015 and it contains an extensive display of Military memorabilia from wars that Australia has been involved with from the Boer War, World War I, World War II, Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan and Middle East conflicts. A centrepiece of our museum is an Iroquois helicopter which is synonymous with the Vietnam War. These were known as 'hueys' by the Australians who served in Vietnam and were used extensively by the Australians during the Vietnam War.
This helicopter is the only one on public display in Tasmania. Visitors are able to sit inside the helicopter.
The museum is open daily from 11am until 3pm.
Visit our website or like us on Facebook for more details.
