The May Gibbs Tree is a monument which was erected in her memory just near her home in the Franklin Harbour District. The monument was erected in 1973 shortly after her death. May Gibbs in most known for her Gum Nut Babies, also known as Bush Babies or Bush Fairies. She was also known for her book "Snugglepot and Cuddlepie".
