The Gravity Discovery Centre and Observatory (GDC) is an exciting science education centre and public observatory just one hour north of Perth and is home to the Leaning Tower of Gingin. Visitors experience hands-on science exhibits and learn about the latest discoveries in science, astronomy and technology and their relevance to everyday life.
Recent commitment by the Western Australian state government will help facilitate the construction of Yokalarang, seven Mia Mia’s, traditional Aboriginal accommodation built in modern materials, to allow for overnight stays on-site.
The GDC is a premier science education centre in Western Australia for Physics and Astronomy and the only centre in Australia with a focus on Gravity and Cosmology.
The GDC is becoming a well-known tourism destination as well as an ideal location for families to enjoy a rewarding educational experience. The GDC is repeatedly mentioned in the Tourism Western Australia's Development Priorities as a site deserving “special focus”.
