The Get Lost Travel group have traded buses and passengers, for pallets and power tools, launching an inspirational diversification during the COVID-19 crisis. Under normal circumstances, GLT employs 70 staff nationally carrying over 100,000 passengers each year on tours throughout Victoria, New South Wales and Western Australia. Like most tourism businesses, our company was devastated when operations came to a stand still. Paul Beames converted the space into a furniture factory and re-employed some of the tour guides. And Pallets with Purpose was born. In addition, GLT is working with local councils, cafes and restaurateurs in the construction of external trading areas transforming street parking or roadside footpaths into usable space. Once again, diversifying their skill set providing parklet solutions for government outdoor activation schemes. If you would like to support the GLT team and Pallets with Purpose, visit the website and buy one of the locally made planter boxes or pallet creations. Help keep the wheels turning whilst unable to operate tours.
