The new facilities at the Ballina Memorial Swimming Pool opened in July 2018. The new facility includes:
50 metre heated pool with eight 2.5 metre-wide lanes for competition swimming and water polo games; 25 metre by 15 metre heated enclosable pool; access ramps into all pools; wet play splash areas for children; new amenities building and transparent fencing along the Richmond River; two waterslides - a shorter slide for a gentle ride, and a longer faster slide for the waterslide enthusiast.
Food and drinks can be purchased from the pool kiosk, and picnic tables are on the grounds with free barbecues are available for your use.
