Brown Lake (or Lake Bummiera) is a perched freshwater lake found just outside the township of Dunwich on North Stradbroke Island (Minjerribah).
The lake derives its colour from the fallen leaves of surrounding melaleuca and tea-tree bushland.
The area is of cultural significance to the Quandamooka People, the Traditional Owners of Minjerribah on Redlands Coast.
This hidden treasure and popular swimming spot has picnic and barbecue facilities.
