Tweed Regional Museum is dedicated to preserving and sharing the unique history and heritage of the Tweed Shire.
Tweed Heads Museum is located in a beautiful park setting on the banks of Terranora inlet. The Museum showcases three significant heritage buildings; the original Tweed Heads Court House, Boyd’s Shed and the Deck House.
Displays within the Court House focus on the history of the building and its role in the community.
Displays also feature a selection of photographs and film from the Museum's rich collection depicting life in the northern part of the Tweed Shire, and the maritime history of the area.
Boyd's Shed provides an insight into the importance of the fishing industry and preserves a fine example of vernacular architecture.
Why not combine a leisurely visit of the Museum with a picnic in the park, a spot of fishing off the jetty, or a stop off on your boat trip or paddle on the beautiful waters of the inlet.
Tour groups and school groups are welcome. Bookings are free. Please visit the Tweed Regional Museum's website for further information and the booking form.
