The Golden Age Hotel is well known for its ‘great pub food’ and terrific views of Beaufort’s Memorial Park.
You will be impressed by the size of the meals. Local favourites include Southern Fried Chicken, Thai Beef Salad and the Guinness Pot Pie. The Crumbed Snags go down a treat, especially since they are from the local Beaufort Butchery. The Golden Age, established in 1854, supports local business. It would be great if you could support them. The ever-changing homemade desserts are really something. They are passionately created by local Lucy, a staff member.
There is plenty of room for your family/friends to gather in the large dining room/s. The bar is a traditional country long bar. Take a seat and share stories with Matt, the owner, who doesn’t mince his words. Grab yourself an ice-cold beer. Watch sport on the large screens. If you want to sit outside, sit out the front and take in the views of the park. Or, park yourself out the back in the new beer garden.
This pub has got the lot. It has a drive-through Bottle Shop, Happy Hour, a pool table and TAB. You might get lucky.
