This walk is approximately four kilometres long and will take about an hour to complete, this does not include the stops you may wish to take along the way.
Start your walk at Rutherglen Wine Experience and Visitor Information Centre.
Cross the Murray Valley Highway and turn right and walk along the path until you Hopetoun Road.
Walk up Hopetoun Road until you get to the Wine bottle, make sure you turn around and enjoy the view of the mountains and vineyards.
Continue on the path along Hopetoun Road, there is a great little playground if you are walking with children. Stop and have a rest.
Take the third exit on the roundabout to Carlyle Road, walk about one kilometre to Battery Road and then take a short walk to the Rutherglen Gold Battery.
Head back to High Street and the next stop will be on your left hand side, Mount Carmel Convent.
Walk past St Mary’s Primary School, Ready Water Fountain and turn left onto Douglas Street, past The Wallace Cairn and back to the Rutherglen Wine Experience.
